You’re about to discover how Love can be a Game
Here Is A Preview
The clock reads 1156 when Emery finally hauls himself out of bed the next morning. Nikola is nowhere to be found; his coat is gone and his shoes aren’t by the door, but there’s a note taped to the fridge
Went to store. Call if you need anything.
Emery smiles a little. Part of him wonders if it shouldn’t be harder to reconcile the two sides of Nikola he’s seen so much of recently the stoic, silent Ring soldier and the man who took care of him last night and beams unabashedly at the kitten videos Nate digs up on YouTube. He’s a puzzle and a contradiction, but Emery supposes they all are, in their own ways.
He retreats to the couch after breakfast. The DVR is getting full; mostly nature shows and the mindless sitcoms he likes, but several cooking programs have appeared since the last time he checked. After a moment of thought Emery clears out everything he’s watched and sets all of Nikola’s shows to record automatically. Emery settles on a nature documentary just as the door opens and Nikola comes in with a shopping bag in each hand.
Emery waves. “Hey.”
“How is your hand?” Nikola asks, coming to sit next to him. “Much pain?”
“A little. Just enough to remind me what happened yesterday.”
“You have accident in kitchen. Could happen to anyone,” says Nikola innocently, and Emery snorts.
Emery shakes his head and goes back to the TV. He hears bustling sounds and a whistling kettle; eventually Nikola comes back with a pair of mismatched mugs and a box of sugar cubes.
“Let tea sit. Is not ready yet.”
Emery’s not sure he’d really know the difference, but he acquiesces and waits until Nikola nods, taking a sip under Nikola’s watchful eyes. It’s sweet and strong and perfect for a lazy afternoon that, if Emery has his way, isn’t going to involve moving out of the house.
“So, what next?” he asks after the show ends.
Nikola scans the list and settles on a cooking show.
“Works for me.”
Nikola leaves to go take a shower. He comes back halfway into an episode, naked except for the towel around his waist and the pair of gold chains around his neck. A single word is tattooed under Nikola’s collarbones above a silhouetted setting sun, the black ink stark against his pale skin.
“I didn’t know you had a tattoo,” Emery blurts out when Nikola catches him staring.
Without thinking Emery reaches out to touch, tracing each letter carefully, eyes trained on Nikola’s face, waiting for some sign of revulsion or hesitation. He moves closer, testing, and Nikola meets him halfway, tilting his face up just enough to brush their mouths together, his kiss asking a question Emery is only too happy to answer. They’ve never kissed like this before, Emery realizes, never kissed without the promise of imminent sex. He cups Nikola’s jaw, keeping him close after they part.
“Hey.”
“Hello,” Nikola murmurs, brushing a final kiss against the corner of Emery’s mouth. “You be here when I come back?”
As if Emery is going to move.

Nikola and Emery The Hottest Relationship of all with what started out as just a kiss and a one night stand bubbled into a pool of romance and intense bedroom heat. I Enjoyed every last bite of this Short Novel, every thing is so nicely braided together and author is very descriptive with characters and sexual activities. Hence, It just enlightens how hard a long distance relationship can be and how to keep love burning besides being on opposite parts of the world.Product details

Hide and Seek Gay Romance Gay Fiction Contemporary edition by Jake Curto Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
This book was a treat to read. Well written? Check. Different or unusual characters? Check. Good plot? Yep.
I liked that the characters were bad guys. The characters were interesting, especially Nate's twist at the end--good one. They are not nice people but their actions aren't shown, just the aftermath and the cleanup.
I hope there is more coming about the Muller family. I'll be checking to see what else Jake has written. If you're up for reading about some bad guys and are still looking for a HEA, this is the book for you.
I felt like I was reading the second half of a decent story. Who are these men I gave up at chapter 16 I hope that they fill the blanks. If they do, add a star
This M/M short story is quite well written the style is unflowery as can be, clipped, masculine. The sex is raw and kept short, feelings are never indulged upon.
There is a big problem for me, though.
The characters are mobsters.
They are not just nice rascals, they are murderers, extortionists, corruptors. They are what makes Earth such a bad place to live in.
I cannot and will not condone that, especially not in a romance, where one is supposed to root for the leads' happiness. Mentioning it in the blurb would have prevented me from buying it and from leaving this review.
